Community Fire Safety

Community fire safety forms an important part of the firefighter’s role and is carried out to reduce the number and severity of incidents in the county. At Eynsham Fire Station, fire safety work is carried out by all firefighters. We also have a schools liaison officer who can be called upon to visit schools and other local organisations to give a talk on fire safety and explain the role of the fire service within the community.

Visits to the fire station can be arranged for local groups and organisations and are always well received, particularly by young people.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service can assess your home and even supply and fit 10-year smoke alarms for free if required. We also assist with the safe fitting of child car seats. For more information about car seats check out this link.SEAT.

If you have any fire safety questions you can email them to: eynshamfirestation.co.uk or use the free phone number below.
